A dog's bed is an important place. It's were your pup seeks comfort and relaxation. Getting the right size is extremely important, not only for comfort but also for dog's joints. How do you pick the right bed for your dog?

#1- How does your dog sleep most of the time? Stretched out or in a ball?

If your dog sleeps in a ball, consider a round, clamshell or rectangle bed

If your dog sleeps stretched out, consider a pillow or mattress

If your dog likes to lean against something, consider a sofa style

#2- Does your dog have special needs?

If your dog has sore joints, a hard time waking up or doesn't seem to get a good night's sleep, consider a orthopedic or memory foam bed for extra comfort

#3- How long is your dog?

To measure your dog, take a tape measure and measure him from the tip of the nose to the tail. Then measure your dog from shoulder to shoulder at the widest point. That's the minimum width that the bed should be. Then add 6 to 12 inches to the final number to give your pooch some room to spread out.
